In the aftermath of Jon Gruden having to step down as Las Vegas Raiders coach, owner Mark Davis was asked to comment on the situation but didn't have much to say. Mark Davis said "I have no comment. Ask the NFL. They have all the answers." Ben Maller feels Davis is better off handling this exactly how he did it.
"To me, he's not the most articulate human being. I would put him in the inarticulate category. He often suffers from 'foot-in-mouth disease' the few times that he speaks. Watching him in the public sector, it is as enjoyable as stepping on a rake...Mark Davis actually said a lot while saying nothing. When he said 'I have no comment. Ask the NFL. They have all the answers,' he was explaining to you that the NFL is the one that's calling all the shots here and even though I own the team, I'm part of a bigger mafioso outfit."
