On Tuesday (May 12), the U.S. Coast Guard successfully rescued 10 people after a small plane crashed into the Atlantic Ocean, approximately 50 miles east of Vero Beach Regional Airport in Florida. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed the incident involved a Beechcraft BE30 aircraft, which had departed from Marsh Harbour Airport in the Bahamas and was en route to Grand Bahama International Airport.
The crash occurred around 12:05 p.m. amidst thunderstorms in the region. Despite the challenging weather conditions, all passengers and crew members survived and were transported to emergency medical services for further evaluation.
