A two-vehicle collision east of Napoleon has taken the life of a passenger in one of the autos. The Henry County Sheriff’s Office investigated the crash at the intersection of U.S. 6 and State Route 109, just after 9:30pm Wednesday. 19 year old driver Deliela Martinez of Lima pulled into the intersection, and her car was struck by a westbound semi, driven by 64 year old Alan Shupert of Decatur, Indiana. The collision took the life of a back seat passenger in the auto, with 21 year old Katelynn Hinkle of Lima suffering critical injuries. Hinkle was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, Deliela Martinez, and another passenger, 19 year old Morgan Mayer of Lima sustained serious injuries. Both were taken to St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, one by air ambulance, and the other by Napoleon Rescue. The truck driver was treated and released by McClure Rescue.
