NEW AG PRODUCT COMPANY TO LOCATE AT DEFIANCE ENTERPRISE INDUSTRIAL PARK

A company from Belgium involved in making agricultural products has selected a site in the Enterprise Industrial Park of Defiance. Tessenderlo Kerley, Inc. plans to construct a new plant in Defiance, on a 45-acre parcel, that will be involved in production of liquid fertilizer. The company stated their move to Defiance is based on meeting the needs of the ag community in the region. The attraction to the Enterprise Industrial Park site is due to the availability of natural gas and rail service. No job figure was released; but Mayor Mike McCann stated its likely that at least 20 positions would be created by the project. TKI as they are known, has plans to be operational in Defiance by the Spring of 2024.
