NAPOLEON COUNCIL APPROVES NEW WATER AGREEMENT WITH VILLAGE OF FLORIDA

A new contract to provide water from the city of Napoleon to the village of Florida passed on a first reading Monday night. Napoleon city council reports, the rate remains the same as it has been, and will cover the next 28 years. There are about 250 meters on the line from Napoleon to and including Florida. The village then sends their own bills to residents to collect revenue. There are currently discussions underway about Napoleon taking over operations, maintenance, and billing going forward.

Spring cleanup in Napoleon is set for next week, the week of April 12th throughout the city. The Euclid Avenue sewer improvement project is winding-down. Napoleon Council approved the third and final reading on an ordinance to renew an ag-district designation for the Otermat family.

And Napoleon is committing to a second year for the senior portrait project, where about 170 seniors pictures will be placed on banners all over the downtown.
