COVID 19 CASES IN NW OHIO COUNTIES SURPASSING 500, PUTNAM COUNTY OVER 1,000

The total number of corona virus cases has surged past the 500 mark in three area counties, and is close in a fourth. With Henry County reporting about 25 new cases per day, the county health department reports they now have 503 positive cases. Fulton County has hit 557 cases, while Putnam County leads the six county area with 1,084 positive covid cases. Defiance County is just shy of 500, at 493.Williams County is reporting 363 cases.

Now every county in northwest Ohio has had fatalities from the corona virus, with 17 reported in Henry County, 14 in Fulton County, which is a big jump for them. There have been 13 deaths in Defiance County, and 27 have lost their battle with Covid in Putnam County. There have been 4 deaths in Williams county, and 2 in Paulding County. The rates of cases for Henry County is about 1.8% of the overall population. For Fulton County and Defiance County the number is 1.3% of the population. Putnam County is at 3.2%, and Williams County has less than 1% of their population reporting Covid.
