PURSUIT IN NORTHWEST OHIO LEADS TO EARLY MORNING ARREST

An attempted traffic stop early this morning in Henry County turned into a pursuit on the highway lasting over 90 minutes.The Henry County Sheriff’s office tried to pull-over a vehicle on U.S. 6 for speeding and a marked lane violation at 1:52am today.But the suspect driver fled in their vehicle, with the chase travelling through Wood County, Lucas, Fulton and back to Henry County.Stop sticks were deployed on three occasions, and the vehicle kept going into Napoleon.Eventually the car crashed and rolled-over on road 424.The subject exited his vehicle at that point, and was apprehended.He was injured and identified as 57 year old William Lee Roth of McClure, who was wanted on warrants.Roth was transported to the Henry County Hospital for treatment, and was then charged with Fleeing and Eluding, along with other offenses.The highway patrol, Fulton and Wood County Sheriff’s offices and Napoleon Police assisted.
