The Defiance County Commissioners have received an annexation request from a property owner just north of Defiance.The parcel in-question is 90 acres, and sits in the area north and West of the Carpenter road and Elliot Road intersection. The owners would like the parcel to be annexed into the city of Defiance to market it for industrial or commercial use.Defiance mayor Mike McCann, and law director Sean O’Donnell were part of the discussion, along with Defiance County Economic Development Director Jerry Hayes.Defiance County Commissioners have expressed their support for the annexation verbally, so its likely the proposal will be voted-on in the coming weeks.
