There’s a new contract between the Holgate Teachers Association and the board of education.The two sides reached a tentative agreement, and then the teachers association and Holgate board ratified the agreement at their meeting on Monday.The contract calls for a 3% increase in base salary the first year, and then 2% increases in each of the next two years.In addition, employees will be contributing a higher percentage toward their health-care premium costs.Classified and administrative staff of the HolgateSchool District will receive adjustments on their salaries equal to the 3% that teachers will receive.There were also benefits and clarifications in areas of the contract with Holgate teachers covering family medical leave, personal leave, attendance at open house, and sick leave usage.
