HENRY COMMISSIONERS APPROVE BID SPECS FOR RADIOS

The Henry County Commissioners have finalized specs for the new communications project for first responders.   EMA Director Tracy Busch reports they are seeking bids for supplying close to 230 portable radios across Henry County.   Over 200 of those would be for fire departments; and another 12 would go to law enforcement. The estimated cost for this radio project is in the neighborhood of $720,000.   Bids for this project are due on September 27th.  This would provide a major upgrade in communications for first responders.        The tower portion of construction will get underway next week at the location along state route 281 in Monroe Township, which is nearly the geographic center of Henry County.
