SPECIAL OLYMPIC TORCH TO BE CARRIED BY LOCAL LAW

With special Olympians around the Buckeye State converging on Columbus next weekend for their competition, law officers around the state are taking part in carrying the torch that will light the ceremonies.  That torch will be carried through the communities of Napoleon and Defiance next week, and residents are invited to cheer-on law officers and special Olympians that are participating.                   The torch will be carried in Defiance Tuesday morning June 19th from Hornish Trucking near the GM plant headed to downtown Defiance from 10 to 11am.                       The torch will make a stop in Napoleon on Tuesday, with law officers and Olympians carrying the flame from the Police station on Glenwood Avenue toward the downtown.  That route will include Washington to Scott, then Clinton to Perry, and on to the Henry County Courthouse for a ceremony, and on to Hope Services on East Maumee.  The torch should arrive in Napoleon around noon on Tuesday, for its trek through the River City.
