FIRE IN NAPOLEON HOME SUNDAY

A blaze that ignited in a washer led to extensive damage to a residence in Napoleon early Sunday morning.   At 12:10am, Napoleon fire and rescue was dispatched to 1010 South Perry Street, where heavy smoke was coming from the structure.  The flames spread into the attic from the washer area.  There was mutual aid supplied by Ridgeville and Monroe Township fire departments, along with Holgate.  The state fire marshall’s office will investigate the exact cause of the blaze, with crews on the scene for over 6 hours.   There were no injuries reported.
