NAPOLEON CIVIL SERVICE TO WAIVE TESTING FOR POLICE

With a police staff already short on personnel, and some leaves coming up for officers, Napoleon’s Civil Service Commission has waived the lengthy testing procedure for a new officer.  That action took place at the Civil Service meeting Tuesday, and instead- an appointment to the Police force is anticipated soon from a previous list of candidates.  The city will still do their normal background checks before making the appointment.

And 4 applicants will be going through the testing procedure for fire captain in Napoleon.  That test will take place on February 3rd to fill a vacancy in the department.
