There was personnel action, and discussion on lunch prices for the coming year at the Wauseon School Board of Education meeting on Thursday. The board hired a number of new teachers, including Melanie Lewis for third grade, Carla Richer as kindergarten teacher, and Angelica Dun-savage was hired as the new vocal music teacher for middle school and high school. The new educators at Wauseon include Katie Miller as technology teacher, and Carrie Wannemacher as intervention specialist. A number of other teachers in the district were shifted to new positions, mostly at the elementary level. They are Michelle Eberle to 1st grade, Kyle Borton to 4th grade, and Julie Grime to a 4th grade position.
The Wauseon school board has approved a five-cent across-the-board increase in lunch prices for the coming year, taking most elementary lunches to $2.30 per day.
And the board approved an overnight trip for the Wauseon FFA to attend camp the week of June 23rd.
