The unemployment numbers around northwest Ohio are falling in the April report from Job and Family Services.  HenryCounty’s unemployment rate fell from 6.3 to 4.9% last month, and FultonCounty fell a full one percent, from 5.4 to 4.4%.   That matched the state average for jobless rates.

          DefianceCounty hit 4.5% in unemployment, down from 5.1 in March.  WilliamsCounty was lowest in the FourCounty area at 3.9%; while PutnamCounty had the lowest jobless rate in the region at 3%.            And WoodCounty checked-in at 3..6%.

Around the BuckeyeState, MercerCounty had the lowest unemployment rate at 2.5%, with DelawareCounty close behind at 2.9.


          The highest jobless rate in Ohio was MonroeCounty at 7.5% in April.
