A favorable bond rating will pay dividends at the bank for the LibertyCenter school district. That will be the result of a resolution passed by the LibertyCenter school board Monday night, which includes refinancing of debt from the 1994 addition to the school. The savings for the district will be $40,000. A factor working against the district in the rating was the huge percentage of residential tax base, as opposed to some business revenue. But working for LibertyCenter was a five year financial forecast in the black.
The LibertyCenter school board approved a new policy for public participation at board meetings. The only requirement for visitors will be signing-in at the meeting, to address the board; and no appointment required.
In personnel action; the LibertyCenter board accepted the resignation of Kimberly Schroeder as an intervention teacher. And the board hired coaches in the wrestling program, including Ryan Rayfield, David Carrizales, and Nick Tammarine.
And in action regarding athletic ticket prices- they will remain the same as last year at LibertyCenter schools.
