Despite a cool start, the new season is underway at the Holgate municipal swimming pool.   Holgate Council approved the hiring of Jordan Wagner of Defiance as the new manager for the pool.   And ten lifeguards were added to the staff.          But a review of the swimming pool indicates some long range repairs will be needed after this season.   Some estimated costs will be brought to council in future meetings.

Holgate Council discussed needs at the parks, and agreed to construct new dugouts for the ball field at the old school site.  A new base will also be added to the playgrounds.

And council approved a new hard drive for the Holgate clerk’s computer, at a cost of $500 from EK Computers of Napoleon.
