The Henry County Commissioners have given their stamp of approval to a street improvement project in Napoleon, that will utilize block grant funds. The project is on Northcrest Circle, with a bid price of $355,000-plus, and the contract going to the Vern Nagel Company of Napoleon. A grant of $30,000 from the state of Ohio will help in paying for the work. Napoleon Council had approved the contract previously; and there may be another phase of the project to allow for access for local residents.
The Henry County Board discussed the vacating of right-of-way for property along road L in MonroeTownship, near Grelton. But more information is needed before a decision can be made.
Commissioners went into executive session to discuss pending litigation twice during the day; but no action was taken from either closed-door session.
The board approved a draw of $6,900 from state funds to help pay for homelessness prevention in HenryCounty.
