A huge jump in sales tax revenues this month in HenryCounty, has made it a record-breaking month for receipts.  HenryCounty auditor Kevin Garringer reports March revenues hit $444,250, for an increase of just under 18% over last year.   That’s only the second time in history HenryCounty has pulled-in sales tax receipts of over $400,000 in a month.  The other was August of last year at just over $428,000.                 The first quarter of the year has produced sales tax revenue of over 1.1 million dollars, which is running about $60,000 ahead of last year’s pace.  Sales tax receipts generally reflect local sales from about 2 to 3 months before.
