Another contract has been awarded in the construction project for the South Joint Ambulance District of Henry County. Speiser and Sons of Napoleon got the electric bid for about $74,100 for the new facility being constructed on the east edge of Hamler. Another alternate bid for an emergency generator was approved at $35,160. That will take the total estimated cost for the project to just over 1-million dollars. Construction is expected to begin the first part of May.
The Henry County South Joint Ambulance District is hosting a class on extricating victims from vehicles, that is available to all county fire and rescue units next Wednesday, May 7th at the Hamler Summerfest grounds.
The district will host a bloodmobile on May 24th at the Summerfest building. And the joint ambulance district will also be participating in the mock accident for prom-graduation this Friday at the HenryCounty fairgrounds. All juniors and seniors in HenryCounty will be part of the exercise.
